Ask Jackie: special guardianship allowanceCreated by Charlotte in Ask Jackie, No contact
Q: Hi Jackie, viagra 40mg I’m not a grandmother but an aunt who has taken care of my nephew (age 13) and neice (11) following the sudden and unexplained death of their mother in February this year. I have applied for special guardianship and the local authority are saying they are going to approve this. They have offered to pay us £80 a week per child is this in line with what I should be getting? We are means tested.
A: If you are being means tested then the local authority should give you their going rate based on their assessment. I can’t tell you what that rate is because local authorities vary in their allocations.
