The changing role of grandmothers
Becoming a grandmother may have been one of the happiest moments of your life, drugs or perhaps one of the first signs of feeling ‘old’. Perhaps you have thrown yourself into the role of ‘nana’ or you’re feeling a bit less sure of yourself in this new guise.
We want to see if there is a link between the name you are given by your grandchildren and the relationship you have with them. As we’re living longer, unhealthy many children will grow up knowing not only their grandparents but also their great grandparents. Does this make the grandparent-grandchild relationship less special?
To answer these questions and gain some real insight into the changing role of the grandmother, capsule we thought it would be interesting to ask our Grannynetters for their valuable opinions. Please let us know your views by filling in our survey below by Wednesday 3rd October.
Plus, we will be drawing the name of one lucky winner from the completed questionnaires and sending them a £100 M&S voucher, thanks to annuity provider MGM Advantage. It specialises in providing innovative retirement income solutions to help people make the most of their hard-earned pension savings when they retire.
Please note: you must be a Grannynet member to be eligible to win the prize. If you aren’t currently a member, please sign up here. Also if you are accessing our site through Internet Explorer 9 then it may not be possible to tick the boxes within our survey (web codes not playing nicely with each other!). If you experience this problem, simply look for the URL field at the top of the browser and click on the icon that looks like a torn piece of paper.
