No volume control, to read in bed it was a little loud.
Scout the gorgeous green puppy was the ‘apple of my 3 year old granddaughters eye’. We initially listened to the story books with both my granddaughter aged 3, and my grandson aged 6. Their first reaction was wonderment, how could this dog read books my grandson asked? As he became aware of how it worked he lost interest (well he is outside the recommended age range). But my granddaughter loved interacting with the stories, she talked and sang along with Scout for hours, when she went to bed, he went too. It’s a perfect way to introduce early readers to comprehension skills, the use of simple questioning totally engaged her in the story and she LOVED it! There are excellent age appropriate stories and corresponding language, good interactive questioning and it encourages vocabulary development in readiness for reading.
