Educationally sound and great fun
One of the best ways to engage a child is to suggest doing a quiz. That’s how I learnt to quickly recall my 12 times table as a teacher – I needed to know the answer before setting the question! I was therefore very interested in trying out Educationquizzes.com. My granddaughter who with her Mum was doing the latest set of questions in the Granny & Me Quiz on Grannynet (find this under JOIN IN) introduced me to this site. I quickly realised that the questions must have been set by someone working in education as the vocabulary used is really relevant to that used in schools these days. Later on I went on the site to see what else was on offer. The answer is… absolutely loads! The site uses the approach of answering questions in most areas of the curriculum for children aged 7 up to GCSE level. It costs £5.00 a month and you are then able to play every quiz on the website. I am so impressed that I am seriously considering joining so that Grandpa and I can have our own competition… well that should help us keep our brains working!
