CLIC Sargent
Grannynet has chosen to support CLIC Sargent.

Why them? Because we wanted to find a way to help a charity that offers help to sick children. We also wanted someone that our members could give practical help to, on a local level. Plus, we couldn’t believe it when we found out that every day 10 families are told their child has cancer.
As the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is the only organisation to offer them all round care and support.
What do CLIC Sargent do?
- They are here to help as many children and young people as possible survive cancer and make the most of their lives
- They help the whole family cope with the trauma of cancer, life after treatment and, in some cases, with bereavement
- They make sure that young people with cancer and their families can speak out about their needs and get involved in how they meet them

Why your collection counts
Every day, 10 children and young people in the UK are told they have cancer. Treatment usually starts straightaway and can last up to three years. CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people and provides clinical, practical and emotional support for young cancer patients and their families. Money may seem unimportant when a child is diagnosed with cancer, but families caring for a child with cancer often find that their costs go up and their income goes down. That’s why CLIC Sargent offers every family a Care Grant within 72 hours of diagnosis to help with immediate costs, and can also help families with other expenses.
The money you raise through your collection could help families cope when the unimaginable happens.
What if I don’t have time to give?
