Default What's your name?

Hello all! I thought it might be interesting to find out from you what your GCs call you. Is it the conventional Nana,Granny etc.or something a bit out of the ordinary?
My name is "Mad Nana" and my opposite number is "Normal Nana"! I started off as Granny and she was Nana but little GD started calling both of us Nana so we weren't sure how to differentiate but somehow I evolved as Mad Nana.Perhaps this was as a result of me throwing myself (sometimes literally) into games and role play while Normal Nana was a bit more conventional.
Anyway I'm pleased with my name and long may I live up to it's implications!

I am Grandma. I decided this was the best name before Joe (6) was born. That way, I felt, when I was pushing him in a supermarket trolley and he called me "Grandma" everyone would expect an old grey haired woman and would see me and say to themselves "My goodness she doesn't look old enough!" Of course that doesn't happen but it was good thought.

My dil's mother (Ben's mummy) is called Mad Nanny. She is 60 and is blonde - blonde hair and blonde personality, completely barking. She once decided that as I make cakes with Ben then she would too. She 'phoned me after she had taken the cake out of the oven to tell me it was all soggy and strange looking . I asked her what she had put in it and she went through the list. "Err Lynn, did you put any flour in it?" The answer was "no was I supposed to?" Bless!

Smile Grandma

I am Grandma. I have always thought it sounded lovely, and I love hearing her say it

The other grandmother is Gran, and my mum chose Nanna. This was what she was to my children, and as neither of us grandmother's wanted it, she could keep her title, as a great grandmother!

At the minute we are all very frustrated as R calls all his people Daddy. He's such a Daddy's boy, and inevitably, his Daddy just looks smug.

LOL, Enid. Hopefully things will change soon

T as a baby called me, her Grandpa, and Gran and Grandad, 'Gagga'. At first we all thought it was baby babble, but then realised it was only used when she saw any of us!
Eventually we all got our 'proper' titles

I want to be granny when the twins arrive but my OH(not the biological one!) is going to be Papa John! which I think is really cool! I perhaps ought to explain the 'Supergran' bit!! I'm not being pretentious...qui moi?? but to several of my son's friends, I have been Supermum for many years. Not really sure why, one of them started it and it stuck so Supergran was the obvious progression!!
