I tried to avoid shopping with OH's SIL - she would leave her two girls to roam the shop whilst I kept a tight rein on mine and tried to corrall hers! One of them was found eating from a packet of scotch pancakes in M&S food hall!!

Whenever I see the video footage of Jamie Bulger being taken it makes my blood run cold to see how these things can happen so quickly.

Was recently at a curry night demonstration and two women behind me just kept talking to each other over the speaker - completely ignoring all the shushing and black looks. This also happens at school events - once "their" child had done their bit people talk amongst themselves and ignore the rest of the assembly or play. So rude and off putting!!

Much too big for car seats then Jane. The toy department in JL at this time of the year is a very dangerous place to be. The children are pushing prams, riding trikes etc. I think parents and grandparents take them there to see what toys they are attracted to.

I hate it when a child holds a door open for an adult and the adult just sails through without even looking at the child. No way to teach a child manners.

I have known parents leave a school hall when their child has finished performing leaving children following to perform to a half empty hall. Very thoughtless behaviour.
