As for cold calling, "Im not selling you anything but..." on the doorstep. Some young spotty lad trying his/her best I suppose to make a living but he/shes no match for a menopausal OAP! Ive an answer for them everytime.
The ones on the phone bug me, a VERY foreign person with the name "Andrew" or " Andrea"......ask their number and tell them you will phone them back or leave the phone on next to your CD player. They love Daniel O 'Donnel

Ha ha Nantotwins, our IT at work is outsourced to India and they all think we are thick. They come on the 'phone with very strong and obvious Indian accents and call themselves Charlotte, Amy and Charles etc., Indira, Gurpreet and Manjit more like!

Many years ago OH and I went out to the poshest restuarant in Cmabridge to celebrate our anniversary. Sitting at the next table were Lord and Lady Archer, being royally entertained by OUR bank manager ! Probably on expenses ! Every time I go into the bank I pray that a certain teller won't be on because she always goes on about us needing to come in for a review,and how we should change our account to another type etc.etc. I've got to give it to her, she's persistent ! Last time she started, I said we were still waiting for the customer liaison manager to get back to us from last year and she had no answer to that ! Didn't tell her we don't answer withheld/number unavailable
calls though !
