Dorothy - how do your seasons in Iowa compare to our here in the UK?

At the moment it's around 10C and a mixture of sunshine and showers. Most plants are coming in to bud and the spring flowers are lovely. I've got a clump of dark purple helebores next to a clump of daffodils, under an apple tree and if I only look at that bit of the garden it's lovely. the rest looks rather sad, still.
