Welcome Gransboys. Im Granny to 4 girls, eldest daughter has 2 aged 8 1/2 and 7youngest daughter has 2 aged 4 1/2 and 17 months. I look after the youngest 2 every other Friday for 9 + hours. You have my respect managing every day, I couldn't. I still go to work so out of the question anyway.

I wish I had found Grannynet sooner. What a lovely set of people you are. I know I am going to love you all. I some times find it hard to get onto this site. And also move around the site but with usage I shall master it. ( I SHALL)

I find I am in my element when the grandchildren are here. When I start to talk about the boys I could go on and on and on and on.

In my village we have a Grandparents Club that meet twice a month. It is lovely to talk about our Grandchildren. But I cannot always manage the 3 boys in there. Too many activities. I need my husband at a time like this. ( comes in handy sometimes)

We used to foster babies so there has always been babies in our household. My daughter whith the twins is a natural. When they were young she would have one under one arm and feed the other. Change one and keep the other occupied. My older grandson is my son's, hence a daugher in law. She is a lovely woman. But as a school teacher of 5 year olds, she has her sights on the 2 year old being a 5 year old. I tend not to tell her everything we do. It can become a behind the scenes issue. So lips shut (which is an effort for me).

Hope to talk to you all soon.

My goodness Grans boys - you must be a fit lady to look after 16 month old twins and a 2 year old!!

The Grandparents Club sounds a wonderful idea. I notice that when I take my little Granddaughter to the swings, or to change her toys when the Toybus visits, I always see other grandparents. There are plenty of us about looking after our grandchildren (I look after only one little 19 month old girl, usually only once a week, so am not as experienced as you are!)
