Tumble TotsCreated by Jane in Jane Lawson's Blog
النقر هنا Grandson R is now sixteen months old and his mum feels that he needs a bit more exercise than the gentle stroll round the park that he does with me on Friday afternoon or even the rolling round the floor and helping Grandpa in the garden on Wednesday and Thursday. So, being super efficient, she researched every available activity for toddlers and came up with Tumble Tots at our local leisure centre. It’s only two quid to join for local residents and two pounds a session after that. It sounded good and, in addition my son had a day off work so he volunteered to take R and me for the first session. How could I refuse?
رأي So, off we set this morning, baby bag all packed in case of emergencies, and T drove the twenty minute trip to the centre. I was very impressed with it finding it quite transformed from the bleak, chlorine scented centre that I remembered from when R’s daddy was little. We paid our money, and then I looked up. I saw a very large lady in uniform bearing down on us. Whatever had we done wrong? ‘You don’t remember me, do you?’ she demanded.

Is there anything we should have done?’ I stammered.

And that was true, although the uniformed lady standing in front of me bore no resemblance to the shy eleven year old who bore the same name. And how nice it was to hear her story. I think she was equally surprised to find that her old teacher has transformed herself into someone’s Granny.

Lovely soft mats all over the gym floor with super things to climb on, slide down, crawl over and under and bounce on. R was in seventh heaven. And after an hour of all this physical activity there was an action song session led by a very energetic young woman to which we joined in with great enthusiasm.
